Frequently Asked Questions about Coaching
What's so great about coaching?

As a coach, my role is to listen intently to your words and your heart, to reflect back to you God’s design upon your soul, to help you chart a path forward and illuminate the immediate steps on that path. I am not the expert for your life; my role as coach is to bring excellence as a resource, a sounding-board, a partner in prayer and encouragement. Coaching is built upon a friendship, but it is much more…a powerful alliance that God will use to uncover his purposes for your life! Who couldn’t benefit from that?

How is coaching different from counseling or consulting?

In broad terms, counseling is a resource to help clients find healing from their past while coaching is a partnership that empowers clients to build a purposeful future. Consultants bring expertise in a particular field to help clients solve a problem or navigate a project. For more detail on these distinctions, click here.

How long does coaching last?

Both the agenda and the term for coaching are unique to every client. We request a three-month commitment at the beginning to give our relationship adequate time for the coaching dynamic to take root. After that, some people just need to get over a hump and they’re off and running. Others find the coaching relationship so powerful that it becomes a long-term asset to their goals for career and family.

What do you charge for coaching?

It is my goal to offer you the absolute best value for your investment...and in a variety of coaching products to meet your particular desire. The fees for full-time coaching with me range from $250/month to $350/month, depending upon the frequency of our sessions.

I commit to keeping your coaching fee level for at least six months. After that initial period, fees may increase to reflect advances in education, certification, and experience. Payment is processed on your credit card at the beginning of each month; a partial first month will be pro-rated.

What is the coaching format?

The most common structure is a weekly telephone session of 40-45 minutes, three times a month. One week each month, both you and I will take a brief sabbatical…and then renew our teamwork in the new month. If another structure will fit your needs better, we can discuss that in our first call. In addition to our scheduled sessions, I am available for support by email.

Do I have to live locally to be coached by you?

Absolutely not. Since most coaching is done by telephone, my clients span the country…and the globe.

What topics do you coach around?

Most any topics that bear upon your life are perfect opportunities to create a more purposeful life through life coaching! However, I do have a unique focus to my coaching: My passion is to partner around three areas in particular: mentoring spiritual leaders, new authors, and other Life Coaches.
